Meet Amanda—the driving force behind Rebel Pilates, where stereotypes are smashed, and movement is for every damn body.
Amanda’s journey began at age 13 when she launched her professional dancing career. Soon after, she discovered her competitive edge in Sport Aerobics, proudly representing New Zealand on the global stage. Armed with a Diploma in Sport, Amanda & hubby PJ made the leap across the ditch to jump head first into the fitness industry. Her boundless energy and love for movement saw her excel as a Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Gym Manager.
In 2014, Amanda co-founded HABITAT, a thriving fitness community born from her 25+ years of industry experience. Now, with that same passion and a rebellious streak, Amanda brings you Rebel Pilates—a bold partner studio to HABITAT that flips the traditional Pilates script. With Reformer classes, instructor training, and a no-judgment vibe, Rebel Pilates is Amanda’s next chapter in redefining movement for every damn body.
When she’s not coaching or creating, Amanda’s happiest travelling, raising her two boys, or dancing to 90s jams.
Ginny
With 30 years of teaching group fitness and Pilates under her belt, 20 years of dance magic, and 7 years of yoga, Ginny is a powerhouse of movement with decades of rhythm and flow behind her. Once an international Les Mills presenter, she now brings that same energy, passion (and sass) to the Rebel crew.
She’s all about retro bangers, real connection, and reminding you that fitness should feel good and fun—even when it’s spicy. Expect flow, fire, and a few sneaky dance breaks mid-class.

Reformer Instructor & King of the Dad Jokes!
With 40+ years in the fitness game (and still flexing), David brings a lifetime of movement, motivation, and mischief to the Reformer. He’s all about helping people move better, feel stronger, and leave class grinning. At Rebel, he proudly leads with lunges, laughs, and the occasional throwback to his 4th place finish at the World Aerobic Champs—yes, that era of leg warmers and headbands.
Expect classic beats (Jackie’s his go-to), endless encouragement, and zero tolerance for boring.
Warning: Side effects of David’s class may include sore abs from smiling.

Membership or class pack options?
Auto-renewing memberships (Double Trouble, Triple Threat, Unleashed) get you per-class discounts and priority booking. Class Packs (6 or 12) suit 1 visit or less a week.
Can I try a class first?
Yes. High 5 Trial: 5 classes, 14 days, $75.
Do I need experience?
No. All levels welcome. First-timers start with a Rebel Rookie intro (40 min) before regular classes.
What should I bring?
Grip socks (available in-studio), water bottle, comfortable activewear.
How do bookings work?
Via the Rebel Pilates app or website. Double Trouble/Triple Threat: 2 weeks ahead. Unleashed: 4 weeks. Casuals/packs: 1 week.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, all memberships include free Guest Passes, book them through the app.
Freeze or cancel?
Freeze 2–4 weeks/year free ($5/week for longer). Cancel with 14 days' notice by email.
Where are you?
2/25 Veronica Street, New Lynn. Free parking behind the Karate Studio or in the Save Mart carpark, next to Lynn Mall.
